Central State Hospital, is a facility within the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), is seeking a dedicated Assistant Chief Medical Officer to join our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee psychiatric treatment, lead interdisciplinary care teams

Prescribe and manage medication plans

Guide discharge planning and collaborate with families / CSBs

Participate in on-call coverage and performance improvement initiatives

Mentor students and support EHR training and implementation

What Were Looking For :

Valid VA medical license and DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to starting)

Psychiatric care experience and strong leadership skills

EHR proficiency and team-oriented mindset
