Flatbed CDL Driver (Class A) California

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A Flatbed CDL Driver to join our team in Long Beach California. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a flatbed truck, ensuring safe and timely deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards. This role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to secure and transport various loads across local routes.

Key Responsibilities :

Safely operate Class A flatbed truck to transport goods to customer locations

Secure loads properly using straps, chains, binders, tarps, and other required equipment

Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment remains in proper working condition

Maintain accurate logs in compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations

Safely load and unload freight using proper safety procedures

Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and operations team

Ensure timely pickups and deliveries

Assist with paperwork including BOLs, logs, delivery receipts, and load documentation

Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards

Maintain professionalism and represent company positively during customer interactions

Qualifications :

Valid Class A Commercial Driver s License (CDL)

Minimum 2 year of verifiable flatbed driving experience

Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT background checks & drug screening

Knowledge of load securement devices and techniques (chains, binders, straps, tarps)

Ability to lift, tighten straps, operate chains / binders, and climb onto trailers as needed

Familiarity with ELD logs and DOT safety regulations

Ability to work independently and maintain schedule reliability

Excellent communication and customer service skills
