Duties include handling special waste and missed pickup collections, which may include items that fall outside of the regular collection guidelines, to ensure that residents' waste service expectations are met; operating rear-load truck (non-CDL) or equipment in accordance with safety procedures to accomplish assigned tasks; performing waste screenings to ensure prohibited items are not being collected due to the hazards to human health; screening for items that are prohibited in the landfill due to local, state, and federal regulations; and reporting any damaged collection vehicles and equipment, or job-related accidents and conditions which affect the safe operation of the collection vehicle, assigned route, and / or safety of all employees. A high school diploma or equivalent required. Duties will require lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Normal hours are Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 6 : 30am to 4 : 30pm but may include some evenings and weekends.
PAY GRADE GG13 FULL PAY RANGE $20.53 - $28.94 PER HOUR
