We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on
Director, Hardware Quality Engineering
to lead Bevi’s hardware quality organization and shape the company’s quality strategy across our product portfolio. This leader will drive the long‑term roadmap for product reliability, supplier quality, and field performance; ensuring Bevi’s systems deliver exceptional customer experience and operational excellence at scale.
You’ll oversee a growing team of quality engineers and technicians and work closely with senior leaders in Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with the ability to influence at the executive level, aligning quality outcomes with business goals and brand reputation.
Your Day to Day
Lead, develop, and expand a high‑performing team of quality engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of accountability, data‑driven decisions, and continuous improvement
Set the vision and strategy for hardware quality across design, manufacturing, and field performance to support Bevi’s growth and product roadmap
Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain leadership to ensure quality and reliability are embedded early in product design and supplier selection
Establish and scale quality systems and processes that enable global manufacturing readiness, including supplier qualification, process capability, and failure analysis
Drive systemic root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions (8D, RCCA) for complex product and supplier issues, using data to guide prioritization and improvement
Oversee supplier and contract manufacturer quality performance, including audits, scorecards, and escalation management
Monitor and drive key metrics for reliability, warranty, and field performance to ensure Bevi’s hardware meets and exceeds customer expectations
Represent Quality Engineering in cross‑functional reviews and executive discussions, providing clear, data‑backed insights and recommendations
Requirements
Passion for building world‑class products and systems that delight customers and scale reliably
Proven success leading hardware quality or reliability engineering at the Director or senior manager level in a high‑growth or consumer hardware environment
Strong foundation in quality engineering principles (FMEA, GR&R, SPC, DOE, reliability growth modeling, etc.)
Demonstrated experience with electromechanical systems, consumer electronics, or commercial appliances
Experience leading supplier quality management, including audits, process validation, and NPI launch readiness
Strong communicator who can influence across functions and levels—translating complex data into business‑relevant insights
10+ years in hardware quality or reliability engineering, with at least 5 years in people leadership
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
Ability to be in the office 3–5 days per week and travel up to 30% (domestic and international)
Pay Range
$199,070 – $245,700 USD
