Financial Support Specialist I
The Financial Support Specialist I performs highly responsible administrative and technical duties to support the activities of the department.
Examples of duties include :
- Answering telephone and greeting visitors; providing information or referring inquiries to appropriate personnel; routing incoming calls and recording messages; responding to emails and faxes as necessary.
- Utilizing computerized data entry equipment and various word processing and file maintenance programs to enter, store, and / or retrieve information; maintaining pertinent files and records; scanning and copying documents as necessary; ensuring files are complete and accurate.
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail, including preparing photocopies and collating materials; distributing mail to appropriate department or employee.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
- Greeting probationers and their families for appointments.
- Entering data on system for county programs.
- Determining fee application, tracking related payments, and posting payments to juvenile cases.
- Entering program data for each probationer program date, amount, and attendance.
- Preparing daily collection report and daily county deposits; processing invoices; preparing weekly collection report and disbursement report.
- Placing and receiving purchase orders; posting figures and reconciling balances; assisting with payroll as necessary; overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and minimum one year of experience in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
