Product Engineer

Overview

Immediate PERMANENT opportunity as a Product Engineer with a local, growing company that's been in business for over 75 years! The Product Engineer is directly responsible for managing product lines through timely, accurate design and process maintenance and improvement. Develops product and process improvement through product and manufacturing knowledge and working directly with internal and external teams to accomplish these improvements. Works with outside vendors to develop alternative sources of supply for all critical parts. The Product Engineer seeks knowledge of our market, applicable code organizations and company processes.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years of engineering experience (Industrial equipment or fire protection industry a plus)
• Desire to grow and develop to next level
• Experience as Product Designer or Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on style demonstrating mechanical skill
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks, preferred, or other 3D modeling system
• Experience in PLC programming and coding of control systems using LabVIEW or similar
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working / managing vendors a plus
• Strong organizational skills
