Job Description :
- Ensure timely material availability for production builds by using the purchasing workbench to plan and procure required materials.
- Monitor open purchase orders and take appropriate actions—including expediting, deferring, canceling, and maintaining accurate data.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on competitive supplier quotes.
- Develop and maintain strategic purchasing parameters within part and vendor files.
- Load BOMs into the ERP system prior to executing purchasing activities.
- Track and report KPI metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor dead stock and recommend solutions to improve inventory utilization.
- Resolve material receipt issues and maintain accurate documentation.
- Coordinate vendor returns, RMAs, and material credits.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimize cost, quality, delivery performance, and contractual compliance.
- Analyze current and historical inventory trends to determine effective purchasing strategies for stock and project-based needs.
- Collaborate closely with engineering / drafting teams on RFIs and participate in discussions to support DFMA (Design for Manufacturability) improvements.
Position Requirements :
