Currently, we're on the lookout for Job Coaches to lend support to participants in our Supported Employment Program. Why work with us:

Our Supported Employment Program:

  • This is a program that helps individuals find a job and develop the skills needed to be successful in that job.
  • A job coach will provide support and training to help individuals learn how to complete job tasks and understand the company's policies and procedures.

As a Job Coach, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting individuals at their workplace to complete tasks successfully.
  • Helping individuals adjust to the workplace culture and understand the workplace policies.
  • Providing hands-on training, observation, and evaluation of the individual’s work tasks to help them improve.
  • Developing a relationship with workplace supervisors to gain feedback on the individual’s performance and to help create a workplace environment that will maximize the individual’s success.
  • Using BuildAbility’s digital program to log the individual’s progress and performance.

Schedule:

  • Part-time and Full-time roles Open availability, including Weekends Hours assigned are subject to change weekly based on availability Work Location: Traveling position San Fernando Valley region Compensation: Starting at $18.00- $21.00/hour (dependent upon prior experience and qualifications).

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, employers, and others in a positive and constructive manner.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (required, or must obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (required, or must obtain within 30 days of hire) Bilingual Spanish (preferred).
  • Valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Willing to travel. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proof of Criminal Background Clearance.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
