Job Title : Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Dayshift) Address : 15630 18th Ave, Clearlake, CA 95422  Job Description :

The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality intraoperative patient care and supporting safe and efficient surgical services. This role includes assisting surgeons and anesthesia providers, maintaining a sterile environment, monitoring patients during procedures, and ensuring all safety standards are met. The department covers all functions related to operating room services and intraoperative care.

This position does not include PACU, anesthesia, pre-op holding, or central sterile functions.

Shift & Schedule :

Dayshift

4×10-hour shifts

6 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Requirements :

Education & Experience

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.

Licenses & Certifications

Current California RN License required.

BLS (American Heart Association) – required upon hire; recertification every 2 years.

ACLS – required for nurses working in Nursing Supervision, Med / Surg, ED, Perioperative Services, and ICU; must be obtained within 6 months of hire and renewed every 2 years.

PALS – required for Registered Nurses in the ED; required for Med / Surg, Perioperative Services, and ICU within 6 months of hire; recertification every 2 years.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver safe and effective intraoperative patient care across multiple surgical specialties.

Set up and maintain sterile surgical fields in accordance with AORN standards.

Assist with patient positioning, prepping, draping, and instrumentation during procedures.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure availability of equipment and supplies.

Maintain accurate documentation throughout the surgical process.

Participate in equipment and room turnover to support efficient workflow.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times.
