Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Spring, TX, is seeking skilled Teachers for the Visually Impaired to support K-12 students with visual impairments. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students educational journeys throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students with visual impairments.
• Provide direct instruction and support in Braille, assistive technology, orientation and mobility, and other adaptive skills.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Conduct assessments related to visual functioning and learning needs.
• Advocate for students needs within the school environment and communicate regularly with families.
