MECHANICAL ENGINEER — MEP

Delta Construction Partners is conducting a confidential search for a Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver building systems (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection) for commercial, healthcare, and multi-family projects in Tampa, Florida .

Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation : $90,000–$140,000

What You’ll Do (core responsibilities drawn from industry standards)

Design & calculations : Develop HVAC / plumbing / fire protection systems; perform load calculations, equipment selection, duct / pipe sizing, and energy analysis.

Drawings & specs : Produce coordinated Revit / AutoCAD models and construction documents; write specifications; maintain model health and documentation.

Coordination : Work directly with architects, PMs, and other trades to integrate MEP systems; run / participate in clash detection & coordination meetings.

Field & construction support : Conduct site visits and surveys; review submittals; respond to RFIs; support installation quality and design intent.

Codes & standards : Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC / IECC, and local codes; prepare project specifications and documentation.

Qualifications

B.S. in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (EIT / PE a plus).

4–8+ years of building-systems (MEP) design experience with a contractor or consulting engineer (commercial, healthcare, multi-family preferred).

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and industry-standard load / energy tools; strong Bluebeam skills.

• Working knowledge of ASHRAE / NFPA and local building / energy codes; solid communication and coordination skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
