As the Product leader for Communication , you\u2019ll define the future of Communication in 3D spaces, in environments that help people connect and co-experience together, not just passively interact. In this role you will be responsible for all mediums of communication like text, voice, avatar communication, and co-experiencing across the Roblox Platform.

Roblox is well positioned to build the standards for accessing, navigating, communicating, and interacting within the metaverse, supporting everything users can do on Roblox : communicate, play, learn, work, etc.

The role reports to the VP of Product, Social and is based in San Mateo, CA (hybrid with Tues-Thurs onsite).

Responsibilities

• Define multi year vision & strategy for Communication products - across all mediums of communication.
• Define scalability of real time communication features like voice chat, immersive avatar chat for hundreds of millions to users.
• Drive the exploration, invention, research, and development of how users will express themselves in the metaverse.
• Define world leading safety standards for communication products for all ages.
• Develop a well-rounded platform to support multiple communication and community use cases.
• Lead a cross organizational team to execute.
• Work with groups and leaders across Roblox to ensure delightful Communication products across all Roblox surfaces - phones, tablets, desktop, consoles and VR.
• Define and unlock new use cases for all ages that haven\u2019t even been discovered yet.
• Help invent the future!

Annual Salary Range

$375,590 — $430,650 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
