Radiology & EP Lab Technologist Job Details
Location : Washington, DC 20010 – Access to museums, parks, and a thriving food scene in the nation's capital
Estimated Weekly Salary : $2690-$2880
Assignment Type : Travel healthcare contract
Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026)
Setting : Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
Shifts : Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07 : 00 – 17 : 00 or 11 : 00 – 21 : 00); three days of late case coverage per week
Hours per Week : 40
Daily Caseload : Average 18 cases
Unit : EP Lab (Cardiac Electrophysiology)
On Call / Weekend Requirement : None
Floating Requirement : None
Scrubs : Provided
EP Lab Technologist Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an EP Lab or cardiac electrophysiology setting
First-time travelers with EP experience are welcome
Valid DC state license (active or pending)
Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, CCI RCES or RCIS
Preferred certifications : ARRT, Fluoro permit
Proficiency with Cerner charting system
Experience operating Philips X-Ray, Siemens X-Ray, and GE Micropacer equipment
Two supervisor references required
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Key Responsibilities
Perform and assist with cardiac electrophysiology studies, ablations, device implants (Watchman, Aveir, Pacemaker, Defibrillator), device explants, lead extractions, and special procedures
Monitor and interpret EKGs for inpatient and outpatient cases; obtain vitals and recognize sinus node rhythms
Utilize hemodynamic monitoring and ablation equipment
Set up and operate specialized radiology and lab equipment (Philips / Siemens X-Ray, GE Micropacer)
Maintain sterile field and assist with groin closure devices, peripherals, and laser lead extraction (preferred skills)
Document procedures and patient care using Cerner and GE Cardiolab systems
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
