American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a compact or MD license and CRRT proficiency for a high-acuity adult ICU in Baltimore.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a high-acuity adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 16-24 bedsTypical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2, occasional 1 : 1 based on acuity, and rare 1 : 3 during downgradesUtilize advanced equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and manage life-support settingsThree 12-hour night shifts per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Required to work every other or every third weekend based on staffing needsRotating holiday coverage is requiredPrecepting new staff may be requiredPrimary responsibilities include direct nursing care, monitoring critically ill patients, administering treatments, and assisting with invasive proceduresCollaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plansMaintain detailed documentation of patient status and all nursing interventionsProvide education and emotional support to patients and familiesComply with infection control protocols and participate in ongoing trainingNavy blue scrubs are requiredLocal candidates are accepted at a reduced rate subject to facility radius rulesCOVID-19 vaccination is not currently required\n \n Requirements\n
Active MD or compact RN licenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsMinimum 1 year of recent ICU experience requiredCRRT experience is requiredVerification through Nursys and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to startMust provide a US Social Security Number and valid US home addressCopies of license, certifications, driver’s license, and two separate references must be provided\n Benefits\n
