Primary Responsibilities :
As an Accounting Associate in our New York office, your responsibilities would include the following activities :
- Provide bookkeeping services for multiple clients including payroll, bill paying, coordinating with vendors, as well as general ledger postings, bank reconciliations and write-ups, mortgage applications, insurance placement and various ad hoc projects
- Provide business management, financial administration and financial concierge services for multiple clients which includes direct contact with clients and assisting them with their various needs
- Prepare client specific reports including financial statements and spending reports
- Assist with the forensic accounting for matrimonial actions and create presentations of findings for counsel and the court
- Create and maintain written procedures on all aspects of this position, including "what and how to" manuals for each client, while always working to improve efficiency and minimize errors
- Perform administrative functions and operational duties
- Support of other team members
Required Qualifications :
3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience requiredBachelor's degree preferred but not requiredPrior experience with a business management firm, family office or CPA firm is a MUSTExcels in a team-based, client-centric cultureAble to work independently on project type assignmentsKnowledge of Quickbooks requiredStrong MS Office skillsWillingness to work until work is doneExcellent oral and written skillsCompensation Range : $65,000-$85,000
