A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity : RN - ICU Job Details : - Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM - Monday through Friday assignment - 13-week assignment length - Work in 14-bed ICU unit with patient ratios of 2 : 1 or 1 : 1 - Must have Alaska RN license for submission - Required certifications : RN License, BLS, ACLS - Experience with EPIC EMR system required - Must be able to independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors - Preferred : 1 year experience recovering open heart surgeries less than 12 hours post-op - Work with Alaris IV pumps and other ICU equipment - Perform typical ICU procedures including intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion - May float to other departments per union contract when unit is overstaffed (MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, or SPCU) - Navy blue scrubs required - Work alongside 8 RNs per shift with 1 charge RN plus 7-8 staff RNs Facility : This medical center operates a comprehensive 14-bed intensive care unit providing critical care services to patients requiring complex medical interventions.
