The Role – What You’ll Do
As a Principal, you will lead teams that execute strategic programs tackling complex, industry-specific challenges, while deepening knowledge in your area of specialization. You will work directly with clients, affording opportunities to build relationships with business and technology leaders in Banking. You will work with top Fortune 500 Financial Institutions to envision new products, define domain blueprints and roadmaps, redefine experiences and processes, monetize data, modernize banking infrastructure, and drive innovation. You will leverage your industry experience and relationships to contribute innovative ideas and insights and establish yourself as a thought leader. You will help define the next generation of our consulting offerings and services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of client advisory, solution delivery and organizational transformation engagements in standalone projects or as part of wider client programs
- Advise clients on strategy and detailed use cases by leveraging insights from industry best practices
- Lead and manage a team of consultants to develop concise and practical strategies, roadmaps and / or re-engineering program recommendations with a clear implementation path
- Oversee hypothesis formation, problem statements, data analysis, and synthesize key outcomes and recommendations
- Collaborate with clients to define long-term vision, goals and strategies, and design downstream product, operational and technology initiatives
- Direct teams of global consulting, IT professionals & subject matter experts to establish comprehensive business and functional requirements and translate them into actionable project initiatives with metrics
- Provide insights on emerging best practices in Banking and contribute to service offerings
- Coach and develop junior team members to deliver quality results and promote professional development
- Lead small to mid-size sales pursuits and business development activities, including client proposals and commercial constructs
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required7+ years of relevant experience with at least 5-6 years of management consulting experience at a top-tier firmStrong background in leading teams with client stakeholders, operations, business and technology specialistsSuccessful business development history including exposure to various aspects of a typical sales cyclePreferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent advanced degree5-7 years of experience in Core Banking at banks or finance technology firms in one or more market segments (consumer and small business, middle market, large enterprise)Strong understanding of retail / commercial banking / credit card functionsHands-on experience in technology or operations with leading Core Banking platforms and related product / service developmentKnowledge of Core Banking areas such as modernization, IT rationalization / re-engineering, digital channels, process optimization, and product managementCandidates authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.
