We are currently seeking several Prototype Automotive Mechanics to join our team in Novi, MI.

Job responsibilities include :

Retrofit of vehicles
Upfit of vehicles
Diagnostics of build concerns
Diagnostics of vehicle programming
Assist engineering team with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and corrective action
Complete reports on concerns found during assigned project
Tracking personal progress to ensure department and corporate objectives are met
Maintain delivery timing on assignments
Quality checks of pre and post builds.

Minimum Qualifications :

3+ years of automotive mechanic experience

Experience with equipment such as hoists, liquid evacuation, tools for engine removals, other

Willing to work overtime as needed

Strong automotive mechanical skills, problem solving skills

Vehicle diagnostics, vehicle re-flash programming

Reasonably skilled in the understanding of vehicle operation in HVAC, Fuel / Exhaust, Brake System, Engine Electrical, Body Electrical, Transmission / Transfer case, Front-Wheel Drive Transaxle, Automatic Transmission, Minor Body / Interior.

Reasonable computer skills in accessing, reading, and inputting required vehicle repair data

State of Michigan, ASE, and / or manufacturer certifications a plus
