The LYCRA Company is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our Waynesboro, VA Benger Lab and Semi Works Research facility . This position creates value by troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment leading to increased uptime and reliability. Maintenance Mechanics are required to have a thorough understanding of safe work practices, and the troubleshooting and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is expected to :

• Work with pumps, gears, sprockets, pulleys, bearings, seals, piping, and chemicals
• Occasionally work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Work closely with mechanical engineers and researchers
• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Participate in Benger activities such as safety meetings, safety audits, and other safety related programs
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment for improved reliability and uptime
• Support the team through respectful and collaborative behaviours
• Maintain highest level of housekeeping standards for the facility
• Perform repairs and other maintenance activities to specified specifications and standards per procedure
• Foster a supportive team environment
• Document work findings and job status
• Work independently as needed
