Job description

General Laborer Position At Train Station

Aerotek is hiring for general laborers for a train station located uptown Charlotte, NC. The position offers weekly pay and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of station platforms, waiting areas, restrooms, and public spaces
  • Assist with loading and unloading supplies, equipment, and materials
  • Support station staff with setup and breakdown of temporary structures or signage
  • Monitor and report safety hazards, spills, or equipment malfunctions
  • Clear snow, debris, or other obstructions from walkways and tracks as needed
  • Provide basic customer assistance and directions when requested
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely and effectively
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in general labor, maintenance, or custodial work is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

  • Exposure to noise, dust, and outdoor elements
  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
  • May require use of safety equipment such as gloves, boots, and reflective vests

    • Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following :
