About The Position

Job Title : PCU RN

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour, Day 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 2 years of PCU / Stepdown experience

License : Valid nursing license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR)
• Utilization of AIDET
• Hourly rounding

Description :

The role requires bedside shift reporting.

Utilization of AIDET is essential.

Hourly rounding is required on the unit.

Staff will alternate between day and night shifts depending on unit needs.

Floating within skill set will be required.

The patient ratio will be 4-5 during the day and 5 at night.

Weekend coverage is necessary.

RNs will be expected to assist with telemetry monitoring during breaks and meals.

All staff must sign an attestation confirming their awareness of the BSSR requirement.

Candidates should have experience with cardiac telemetry, renal failure management, and tracheostomy care.

The unit will care for adults and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including post-cardiac interventions and respiratory issues.

Interdisciplinary support will be available from various departments.

The total daily census is anticipated to be between 20-25 patients.

Additional patient care and special procedures will involve various monitoring and management tasks.
