This individual will work closely with the procurement team and department personnel to successful execution of purchasing agreements. This individual will comply with applicable regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Operations Support Team, Sr. Procurement Manager. All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance./ppResponsibilities Include:/pulliExecute CPSR-compliant purchase orders, based on approved requisitions, requests for proposals, bids and other similar and necessary documents related to the purchasing of commodities, equipment, services or other major items under U.S. Government contracts./liliLead negotiations and apply knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations, contract law and guidelines, practices and requirements to assess, plan, establish fair and reasonable pricing documentation and negotiate best terms and conditions and to minimize risk./liliResolve issues related to areas such as pricing, quality, schedule, claims, payment issues or disputes associated with terms and conditions of purchase orders./liliProcure material and supplies at competitive prices, considering quality and suitability, time restraints/requirements and benefits to company, both short and long term. Be aware of and stay focused on production and price trends./liliRegularly expedite POs and properly closeout orders./liliMonitor and evaluate supplier performance as required./liliAssist in the processing of returned material.
