Job description

Overview

Electrical Engineer role at Sauer Compressors USA. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and offers opportunities to join a family-oriented company with growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical subassemblies for compressor systems.
  • Create and maintain detailed electrical interfacing diagrams and schematics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, design, and project engineers to ensure seamless integration.
  • Provide support for evaluation of electrical systems with plant and produced compressor systems.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Support installation and commissioning activities on-site as needed. Maintain electrical documentation and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design and controls engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
  • Experience with controls design desired (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Clear understanding of project flows and manufacturing processes.
  • Preferred experience working under ISO9001.
