This position is responsible for meeting the physical and emotional needs of residents under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse ensuring that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times./li/ulpAt Elderwood, our assisted living and adult home communities promote independence while providing just the right amount of assistance with daily needs. We take care of chores like cooking, cleaning and laundry, as well as medication management and personal care. You can depend on a caring staff dedicated to ensuring your comfort and safety. Were always mindful of personal needs, while seamlessly coordinating important health services./ppResponsibilities:/pulliAbility to assist residents with Daily Living Activities as needed that may include meal assistance, grooming, medication management, showering, dressing/undressing, toileting, skin care./liliAbility to use hands, arms and fingers in repeated motions that include ability to feel or operate objects, tools, or controls including grasping and turning motions./liliAbility to move and walk quickly and steadily in an emergency situation./liliAbility to assist with wheelchair transport of resident(s)./liliAbility to apply/utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required./liliResponsible for responding immediately to residents requests./liliAssists residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), according to their plan of care, individual needs and care preferences./liliNotifies Supervisor of changes in residents conditions or needs/liliMaintains facility standards for resident care/liliAssists with service in the dining room for all meals as needed. Maintain facility standards for service and customer focus techniques./liliInforms nurse responsible for the care of resident and document duties performed as necessary before leaving for break or end of shift./liliObserves and practices confidentiality of resident information and privacy when performing job duties./liliPerforms assigned duties according to the service excellence standards and goals established for this position and for all staff members of this facility./liliAttends facility meetings, staff meetings and required or preferred in-services./liliGenerates and develops ideas which improve the quality of care for residents or increase position productivity and satisfaction./liliPerforms all position duties according to safety rules and practices required for this position and as required to ensure the general safety of staff, residents and visitors./liliDemonstrates knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures and ability to reference them./liliExhibits the highest level of customer service towards residents, staff and visitors./liliConsistently demonstrates the ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary./li/ulpQualifications:/pullipEighteen (18) years of age required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred./p/liliCertification by an approved basic training program in home health aide services approved by the Department of Health and possess written evidence of such certification./liliMust maintain current annual skills testing approval./liliAbility to assist residents with all aspects of Daily Living Activities including bathing, toileting, and transferring./liliAbility to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds; Occasional 2 person lift up to 120 pounds/liliThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
