Senior Operations Manager, Production & Distribution Processes – Los Angeles, CA

Our client, a top retail company with a nationwide presence, is seeking a skilled Senior Operations Manager with a background in high-volume manufacturing or production environments to lead operations within their Los Angeles, CA distribution center. This role is central to driving operational efficiency, process optimization, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, high-volume setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee High-Volume Production & Distribution Flow : Manage daily operations within a fast-paced distribution center, ensuring seamless handling of products from inbound receipt to outbound shipping, with a focus on manufacturing-level efficiency.
  • Implement Lean Production & Continuous Improvement : Leverage Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and maintain a production-like discipline in distribution processes.
  • Foster a Collaborative, High-Performance Team Culture : Lead with high emotional intelligence, inspiring teams to achieve productivity goals while creating a positive, results-driven environment.
  • Analyze & Solve Complex Operational Challenges : Bring a manufacturing-minded approach to solve distribution challenges, driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and achieving operational targets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering : A technical foundation that supports data-driven and process-focused management.
  • Extensive Experience in High-Volume Manufacturing or Production : Proven track record of managing operations in environments with rigorous throughput and efficiency demands
  • Analytical and Emotional Intelligence : High level of EQ and data-oriented decision-making skills to manage team dynamics and process improvements.
  • Expertise in Lean & Continuous Improvement : Hands-on experience in Lean principles to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency in high-volume settings.
