Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Nights)

Location : Roswell, NM

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Nights – 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

Schedule : Every other weekend (EOW)

Floating : Required occasionally; rarely needed (may float to ICU for MS Overflow or Step-Down patients)

On-Call : Not required

Setting : Acute Care – Medical-Surgical Unit

Position Overview

HumanEdge is seeking a dedicated Travel Med-Surg RN for a hospital in Roswell, New Mexico . This role is ideal for nurses who are confident in managing medical-surgical patients and can adapt to occasional step-down or ICU assignments. The unit provides high-quality patient care with a focus on collaboration, safety, and patient-centered outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and patient education

Monitor and respond to patient changes and alarms

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care

Float to other units (ICU or Step-Down) as needed, primarily for Med-Surg overflow

Document care accurately in Cerner EMR using the Mindray Telemetry system

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical RN experience – Required

BLS (AHA) – Required

ACLS (AHA) – Preferred

Ability to float to other units as needed

Experience with Cerner EMR and Mindray Telemetry system preferred

Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Patient-to-nurse ratio : 1 : 6 (occasionally 1 : 7)
