Heavy Equipment Operator - Richmond

Job Title :

• Heavy Equipment Operator - Richmond Department :   Grading Reports to :   Project Superintendent / Project Foreman Major Role and Purpose :   Operates Heavy Industrial Equipment such as Dozer's, Excavators, Backhoes or other grading or excavating equipment to move and level materials, such as dirt and gravel.   Description of Duties : Monitors the activity within the site.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Spread dirt in fill area.
• Clear and grub area being worked.
• Perform fine and rough grade operations.
• Run a fill area.
• Read slope stakes.
• Cut slope to the job’s specifications (type of slope, ditch cut depths, and fill section heights).
• Direct trucks and equipment where to off-load, stock, or spread material loads.
• Dress and clean up job at the completion.
• Water, oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.
• Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
