Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 08 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, flexible Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Post Surgical Care Unit Med / Surg position requiring a WI or compact RN license and prior travel experience. Responsibilities Position is in a hospital Post Surgical Care Unit (PSCU) caring for adult and geriatric populations Unit provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical patients with an average length of stay of 2-3 days Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4 or 1 : 5 during day / pm shifts and 1 : 5-7 on nights Unit has 40 beds and averages 10-15 daily admissions Uses Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps Shift schedule includes 12-hour day / night variable shifts (7a-7p / 7p-7a) Every other weekend and holiday coverage required Float required to all inpatient units with appropriate patient assignments No on-call or call-back responsibilities Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility Responsibilities include providing care for adults and geriatrics post-surgery and recovering patients after PACU Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity in a high-occupancy environment is necessary Works as part of a collaborative team Scrub uniforms of any color may be worn Holiday coverage is required as scheduled Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required BLS certification required Minimum of 2 years recent Med / Surg experience in a hospital setting required Prior travel nursing experience is required Trauma level II experience is required Epic EMR experience required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625686.
