Hospitalist Physician

Specialty : Hospitalist Start date : ASAP End date : Unknown Coverage type : Call clinic Schedule : Shifts / Month : 14 Coverage Needs Details : Needs dayshift and nightshift provider to cover 7 days on / 7 days off; 8a-8p or 8p-8a. Will consider providers who can work 5 on 5 off with the possibility to commit to more over time. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Active PA license or providers who need to obtain a license Board Status : Board Certified Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, CPR, Stroke Certified Minimum Years Experience (if applicable) : 2 SHIFT / SCHEDULE INFORMATION Mon-Sun 8a-8p and 8p-8a JOB INFORMATION Typical Day : 1-2 admissions, nursing floor calls 15-18 inpatient census. UPMC Bedford is not a trauma center but does have trauma support .36 general bed and 4 specialty bed facility (those 4 beds being ICU beds that are not in use, patients requiring that level of care are not maintained at Facility. Dayshift provider will work alongside the physician. Together, they will perform rounds and manage daily care of inpatients. Will consider provider with less than 2years of experience for dayshift ONLY Nightshift provider will work completely independently. There is no physician in house, the APP will rely on telemedicine if they need assistance. The Night APP will manage floor calls on existing inpatients and possibly admit 1-3 patients from the ER. The night APP should be experienced, comfortable managing all aspects of patient care and working independently. Patient Mix : 100% Adult EMR : Cerner
