Customs Brokerage Department Manager

Location : TENNESSEE

Salary : $70,000 $110,000, depending on experience

Job Summary :

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Customs Brokerage Manager to lead our import compliance and customs operations. This leadership role requires deep regulatory knowledge, client-facing expertise, and the ability to develop staff and drive departmental performance.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and maintain all aspects of the Customs Brokerage Department
• Collaborate with Branch Manager and Corporate teams to meet departmental KPIs
• Implement policies and compliance procedures to uphold U.S. Customs regulations
• Conduct internal audits and manage import compliance programs
• Stay updated on CHB / CBP and OGA regulations to ensure full compliance
• Serve as primary liaison with government agencies (e.g., CBP, FDA, USDA)
• Manage customer bond and power of attorney documentation
• Prepare and file post-entry corrections and binding rulings
• Train and develop staff on compliance standards and productivity expectations
• Support business development efforts and assist in sales / client meetings
• Ensure successful client onboarding and develop customized logistics solutions
• Oversee daily functions including Statements, Bonds, Penalties, IOR / Consignee creation, ACH, Arrival Notices, Invoicing, Entries, and Reconciliation
