Ortho-Hospitalist Physician Locums Job Starting October 2025 + Ongoing Seeking Clean Orthopedic Surgeons with Active Florida Licenses Jackson and Coker's client in eastern Florida is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to assist with locums coverage beginning ASAP (ideally, late September & ongoing). The client is seeking Ortho-Hospitalist coverage for specific dates in 2025 (listed below) and ongoing in 2026. Coverage Need : - 7AM on Tuesday, 10 / 14 - 7AM on Friday, 10 / 24 - 7AM on Saturday, 11 / 22 - 7AM on Sunday, 11 / 30 - 7AM on Sunday, 12 / 7 - 7AM on Tuesday, 12 / 16 - 7AM on Wednesday, 12 / 24 - 7AM on Wednesday, 12 / 31 Will have to come in a day prior to your coverage starting to do training / orientation (must be on a weekday) Details / Requirements Opportunity : - Active & unrestricted Florida medical license & DEA required - Must be able to provide updated case logs and two leadership references + one peer reference that you've worked with in the last 2 years - Will need temporary privileges & must have a clean file to be considered (no malpractice settlements / no red flags) - Epic EMR (if Epic experienced, may be eligible to test out versus doing a full EMR training) - General Orthopedic Surgery coverage + light trauma - Will cross cover 2 facilities that are approximately 15-20 minutes apart in distance (neither facility are designated trauma centers) - Can anticipate working between 8-10 hours each day between both facilities - Will have inpatient APP support Monday - Friday - Can anticipate seeing between 4-7 PPD + doing 1-2 procedures that come through the EDs / day - Duties will consist of daily patient rounding, emergent procedures, ED consults, etc. Jackson and Coker offers : + Weekly Direct Deposit + Top Rate
