EMIT Learning is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to work on our school campus in Gardner MA for the upcoming 2025-26 school Details : Job Title : Special Education TeacherLocation : Gardner MAJob Type : Full-Time OnsiteStart Date : ASAPEnd Date : June 2026 (with strong potential for renewal for the 202627 school year)Schedule : Monday Friday Standard School HoursHourly Rate : $35 $50 / hour (based on experience and qualifications)Credential Required : Ma Sped CertificationResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute individualized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student IEPsManage classroom behavior to create a safe respectful and engaging learning environmentCollaborate with speech therapists behavioral therapists and other specialists to support student developmentUtilize learning technology and adaptive tools to enhance instructional effectivenessConduct assessments using standardized testing to monitor progress and inform instructionImplement early intervention strategies for young children and toddlers requiring specialized supportAdapt teaching methods for students with autism hearing impairments (deaf education) or other disabilitiesPlan activities that promote literacy education math skills physical education and overall childhood developmentMaintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and caregiversParticipate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education and behavioral healthSkillsStrong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive learning environmentExperience working with children with disabilities including autism spectrum disorder and developmental delaysProficiency in curriculum development tailored to individual student needs across various subjects such as literacy math and physical educationKnowledge of IEP development implementation and compliance standardsFamiliarity with behavioral management techniques and behavioral therapy approachesAbility to utilize learning technology effectively within the classroom settingExcellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues parents and external specialistsExperience in early childhood education or preschool settings is preferredCompassionate approach towards child welfare and daycare practicesAbility to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners in private school or Montessori environments is a plusThis position provides an enriching opportunity to support childrens educational journeys while working within a collaborative team dedicated to fostering inclusive learning Types : Full-time ContractBenefits : Paid time off Work Location : In person
