Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Patrol

As a Security Officer - Commercial Real Estate Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication fosters a welcoming atmosphere. Pay Rate : $24.21 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Wednesday 12 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 PM

Thursday 12 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 PM

Friday 02 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 PM

Saturday 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

Sunday 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, tenants, and / or employees with questions or directions as needed.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal guidelines and site requirements.
  • Collaborate with property management and other stakeholders to support a welcoming and secure atmosphere at the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
