American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a mobile PET position, requiring at least 1 year of independent experience and BLS plus ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Mobile PET assignment with frequent travel between facilitiesTypical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, AM shiftNuclear medicine procedures performed include PET, theranostic, planar, SPECT, and SPECT / CTCare for ambulatory and hospital patients across various age groupsTravel to a secondary facility required one day per week (Wednesdays)Work under the general supervision of a RadiologistPerform quality nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures according to protocolMaintain and perform quality control on imaging equipment in accordance with manufacturer, RAM, and ACR requirementsSafeguard patients and staff by adhering to all radiation safety standards and protocolsEducate and communicate with patients and their families regarding tests and radiation safetyCollaborate with medical staff, radiologists, and support teams for optimal patient careFollow all infection-control and aseptic techniques as requiredSubmit patient images to PACS for medical review by physiciansAny color scrubs are permitted except denim or inappropriate printsMust be able to serve as a trainer for new team members and students as neededReturning former perm employees will require eligibility verification\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year nuclear medicine experience with ability to work independentlyCurrent BLS (AHA only) certification requiredARRT(N) or NMTCB certification requiredActive Texas license as required by the profession (license required if applicable)Two professional references required for considerationFlu vaccination required with no exemptions during flu season (August – November)Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local travelers accepted\n Benefits\n
