Payroll Specialist

Adecco is currently assisting a client in their search for a Payroll Specialist in Princeton, NJ . This temp-to-hire opportunity offers a hybrid schedule with a supportive team environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in payroll processing and reporting.

Location : Princeton, NJ (Hybrid - In Office Tues-Thurs; Work From Home Mon & Fri)

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM

Pay Rate : $20-$24 per hour

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure compliance with all applicable payroll laws and company policies.
• Monitor and report unapproved or missing time entries; escalate as needed to HR and management.
• Set up security roles for new supervisors and assist with Time and Labor system configurations.
• Respond to help desk tickets and inquiries related to payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Manage garnishments, banking tasks, off-cycle payments, and assist with payroll reconciliations.
• Collaborate with payroll vendors for system updates, enhancements, and issue resolution.
• Serve as a point of contact for accounting and audit-related payroll reporting.
• Support new hire and termination payroll tracking and documentation.
• Perform regular reconciliations and validations of payroll data.
• Assist with escheatment processing, special projects, and provide back-up coverage for payroll team functions.
