Med / Surg Telemetry RN Job Details Location : Tuscaloosa, Alabama (35401) – Alabama nursing jobs Facility : Pulmonary Unit – 36-bed telemetry Position Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (November 24, 2025 – February 21, 2026) Shift : 12-hour days (07 : 00-19 : 00), every other weekend required Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed (option for 48 hours / week) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,720 - $1,840 Parking : Onsite parking available Dress Code : Solid Navy Scrubs EMR System : Meditech Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience (18 months overall RN experience considered) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with respiratory disorders and lung diseases Monitor and assess patients on telemetry, responding promptly to changes in condition Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy Maintain a 1 : 6 nurse-to-patient ratio for optimal patient care Float to other units and hospitals as required Work every other weekend and holidays as needed Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
