About The Position

Job Title : PACU RN - Inpatient

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : Day shift 4x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 2 years required, must have level 1 trauma and telemetry experience

License : Pending License accepted

Certifications : BCLS, ACLS, PALS required

Must-Have : Must have level 1 trauma and telemetry experience

Description :

No request for time off during the first 7 days of the contract or on the last day of the contract.

One holiday bundle request is preferred.

Additional requests for time off will require approval.

Must be willing to float within the PACU department as needed.

Nurse-to-patient ratio will be 1 : 2 during day shifts.

Nurse-to-patient ratio can vary from 1 : 3 to 1 : 5 in holding areas.

Prior experience with pre / post Cath lab and IR procedures is required.

COVID vaccination is required, with exemptions accepted that must be validated.

One to two call shifts overnight per month are required.

Strong experience in managing ventilated patients and recognizing / management of dysrhythmias is expected.

Phase II recovery experience is highly recommended.

Willingness to perform pre-operative duties is a must.

Clinicians may float as needed to accommodate facility requirements.

A safety and compliance commitment is required from the candidate.

All candidates must ensure their documents are complete and available upon request.

Candidates must be comfortable working with diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Daily census will exceed 35 cases, requiring proactive patient management skills.

Services include general surgery, open heart, and various specialty procedures.

Interdisciplinary support will be available from various departments.

Candidates should be prepared for an engaging and dynamic patient care environment.
