Position Summary
As the Division Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and developing Regional Managers, ensuring operational excellence, contract compliance, safety, and team success across your division. You act as a mentor, strategic operator, and gatekeeper between regional operations and executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support 4–7 Regional Managers
- Act as an escalation point for all issues (discipline, complaints, recognition)
- Monitor and enforce contract compliance at all client sites
- Drive customer satisfaction and relationship management
- Lead quality assurance for lifeguards, pool monitors, and swim programs
- Ensure in-service training and safety protocols meet compliance standards
- Manage budgets for all direct reports and assist in financial planning
- Set KPIs for each region and hold teams accountable
- Partner with the Director of Training & Development to address gaps and improvements
- Conduct site visits and maintain a strong field presence
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Experience
3–5 years of leadership experience in aquatics, recreation, or operations managementProven track record managing multi-site teams and high-volume operationsExperience supervising and developing mid-level managers or supervisorsDemonstrated success in budget management, team performance tracking, and meeting KPIsBackground in handling escalations, conflict resolution, and client relationsSkills
Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a collaborative management styleExcellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levelsHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing prioritiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), Google Workspace, and operational dashboardsComfortable navigating HRIS, scheduling, and registration platformsTech-savvy and able to troubleshoot across multiple systems and communication tools (Slack, Teams)An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make performance-based decisionsConfident in conducting field audits, site evaluations, and in-service observationsStrong interpersonal skills for building relationships with team members, clients, and leadershipPreferred
Current Lifeguard Instructor Certification (Starguard Elite strongly preferred)Experience in seasonal staffing environments or managing large part-time teamsBackground in aquatic programming, lifeguard operations, or swim instruction oversightFamiliarity with budgeting and accounts receivable coordinationExposure to leadership development, staff retention strategies, and succession planningBenefits
