Girls Director of Coaching - Highline Premier FC

Highline Premier FC is seeking an experienced and passionate Girls Director of Coaching to lead and grow our competitive girls' soccer program. In conjunction with the Director of Coaching, this leadership role oversees all girls' teams, coaches and players while shaping the strategic vision and long-term growth of the program. The ideal candidate is a skilled coach, mentor and leader dedicated to empowering girls through soccer and advancing HPFC's mission.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Growth

  • Serve as the primary leader and advocate for the girls' program
  • Define and implement a clear developmental pathway for athletes ages U8-U19
  • Drive the strategic growth of the program, expanding opportunities for players and coaches
  • Ensure equity, access and a positive, inclusive environment for all participants
  • Support and evolve the club's cirriculum and playing style

Coaching Staff Management

  • Supervise and mentor all girls' program coaches
  • Recruit, onboard and develop new coaches in collaboration with the Director of Coaching
  • Conduct assessments and create individualized development plans
  • Organize seasonal education, workshops and collaboration opportunities
  • Player Development & Evaluation

  • Oversee tryouts, roster formation, mid-season assessments and end-of-season reviews
  • Provide direct coaching support at training sessions, games and events as needed
  • Identify and support players with collegiate, regional or national potential
  • Community & Club Culture

  • Lead and support club events, including Just for Girls Week , speaker series, clinics and leadership workshops
  • Build strong relationships with families and communicate program goals and progress
  • Collaborate with other directors to enhance cross-program initiatives and player experiences
  • Administration & Operations

  • Maintain accurate records of team performance, player assessments and coach certifications using the club's tools including PlayMetrics
  • Assist with scheduling, tournament planning, rostering and program budgeting
  • Contribute to staff meetings, strategic planning and club-wide initiatives

    Highline Premier FC serves nearly 500 players across U8-U19 teams in West Seattle, Burien and Des Moines. As a community-based nonprofit , we provide a structured, nurturing and competitive environment that develops players' skills, confidence and love for the game. We participate in RCL and WPL league play.

    Our mission is to develop confident, capable players who embody integrity and a lifelong passion for soccer. The Girls Director of Coaching is central to this mission, ensuring the girls' program is strong, equitable and continuously growing to meet the needs of our community.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • USSF National C License (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of coaching experience, ideally in girls' competitive youth soccer
  • Experience in managing and developing coaching staff
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to gender equity and player-centered coaching
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PlayMetrics
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Former college or high-level club player
  • Experience in strategic program development
  • Background in sports psychology, education or mentoring young women
  • USSF B License
  • Compensation

  • $30,000-50,00 / year DOE
  • Optional additional pay for coaching 1-2 teams
  • Benefits include medical insurance, 401K, WA Long-term Disability and education reimbursement
  • This role reports to the Director of Coaching and supervises all girls' program coaches.

    Anticipated Start Date : January 1, 2026

    Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 35 pounds occasionally
  • Stand, walk and coach for extended periods
  • Work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Must reside in Washington state with reliable transportation
  • Evening and weekend availability required for practices, games and events
