Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with a current CA license and advanced certifications to join a high-volume, non-trauma center emergency department.

Job Details

• Position is based in a busy acute care emergency room with approximately 270-350 visits per day,
• Unit includes 62 beds, with additional hallway beds and chairs,
• Patient ratios are 1 : 4 and nurses are expected to work with all ages, including a dedicated pediatric zone,
• Common diagnoses include critical care cases, CVA, STEMI, sepsis, and high ICU admission rates,
• Phillips telemetry monitoring is used and nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry without a tele tech,
• Charting is done using Cerner; Cerner experience is required,
• Must work 12-hour shifts starting at 11 : 00 am, with a requirement to work every other weekend and 2 out of 3 major holidays,
• No floating to other units is required,
• Orientation consists of up to 2 floor-specific shifts,
