Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care

Position Highlights

• Patient Volume : 23–30 patients per day
• Patient Ages : 6 months and older
• Care Model : Partnered with 2 providers per shift; 1 : 1 LVN support
• Work Schedule :
• 7 shifts in a 2-week period
• Includes every other weekend (Week 1 : 5 days, Week 2 : 2 days)
• Predictable rotating schedule
• Premium Pay : Available for extra / moonlighting shifts
• Duties : Outpatient clinic care only – no hospital rounding or surgical duties
• Experience Preferred : Seeking 1 year of clinical experience

Baylor Scott & White Clinic – Pflugerville Central provides preventive care, primary care, and urgent medical care to the communities in and around Pflugerville and Round Rock. The primary care physicians at our Pflugerville Central clinic offer a range of services and treat common conditions like asthma, the flu, skin diseases and back pain.

Patients are seen by appointment, and we offer extended and weekend hours for unplanned injuries and illnesses.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) Urgent Care is a licensed, certified healthcare provider. They provide direct patient care and have prescriptive authority. They are credentialed, privileged, and billed as an independent provider by Medicare and Medicaid. The Advanced Practice Provider offers medical care based on the supervising physician's scope of practice. They typically care for patients in urgent or convenient care clinics.

Basic Life Support (BLS) : Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
