Job Description
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs production maintenance throughout the Fulfillment facility including but not limited to equipment breakdowns, installation and startups, process improvements, preventative / precision maintenance programs and continuous improvements activities.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
- Exhibit excellent proactive maintenance support including performing preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and execute repairs in a safe, timely manner
- Work closely with Plant Manager in handling contractor and 3rd party work orders and schedules
- Utilize CMMS software to track, plan, and execute any projects, preventative maintenance, and work orders
- Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
- Work closely with the Plant Manager, Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety to ensure safe, clean work environment that adheres to SQF and GMP guidelines
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with all teams, peers, and departments
- Maintain accurate records and data
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related fieldProficient in Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO)Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standardsPrevious experience with powered conveyor systems and supporting equipmentAbility to provide mechanical troubleshooting, communicate effectively, and work with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to be flexible to business priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environmentPreferred Skills and Experience
Ability to read / interpret electrical schematicsPrevious experience in machine shop to fabricate within specific toleranceExperience and knowledge of personal / process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and networking devicesAllen Bradley experiencePhysical Requirements
