As the Materials Supervisor for Royal Truck Body (Aebi Schmidt Group Brands) based in Lebanon, TN, you will be responsible for the management of the optimal flow of materials from vendors, sister plants, and overseas suppliers to on-site storage locations and line side consumption. This role requires the continuous drive for improvement in all areas of material handling, including compliance of documented policies, procedures, visual management, Kanban system, while right sizing POU (Point of Use / Line side materials). This person shall provide leadership and change management skills in a fast pace, multi-task environment while directing activities of all material associates while ensuring all activities align with the cascading KPI metrics for the business. This will help ensure the culture and management team is to the highest level of performance.

Core Responsibilities :

• Lead all material ordering, distribution, storage, and direction of the material handling associates as well as the material leads.
• Schedule body assembly and upfit using visual management / scheduling methods such as Heijunka and Kanbans.
• Communicate effectively with all team members including cross-functional teams, internal customers, and external suppliers.
• Consistently apply the principle of "Plan for Every Part" while designating areas for storage, with the visual Management tools.
• Work cross-functionally with the manufacturing CI / Engineering teams to ensure optimal delivery routes and the visual management systems to support assembly processes.
• Stay attuned to customer requirements / changes to support assembly as needed.
• Lead all physical inventory activities, including validation, storage, settlement, and inventory reconciliation.
• Consistently maintain accurate inventory levels for all raw materials.
• Manage incoming chassis, finished goods inventory, equipment and fleet activities while right sizing the fleet for the business.
• Support inbound freight and logistics support.
• Manage offsite / remote storage to reduce movement.
• Manage team member activities including, but not limited to, vacation approvals, timecard approvals, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
