Travel Nurse Job Details Assignment Type : Travel RN Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Hospital – CVICU Location : Florence, SC 29505 Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), holiday rotation included Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Float Requirement : Yes, within scope and between CVICU or similar units Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Charting System : Epic Scrub Color : Royal Blue Parking : Free onsite Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1730 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license (required prior to start) Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience (2 years preferred) Previous travel nursing experience required Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS First-time travel nurses not accepted Willingness to float to similar units as needed Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Local candidates within 60 miles not accepted CVICU RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac and neuro conditions Operate advanced medical equipment : IABP, Impella, CRRT, Swan Ganz, cardiac output monitors, and temporary pacers Assist with procedures : chest tube insertion / removal, arterial line management, ventilator management Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy and phlebotomy Float to similar critical care units as needed Participate in holiday and weekend rotations Experience the best of South Carolina healthcare jobs in Florence—a city known for its Southern hospitality, vibrant arts scene, and proximity to the coast and scenic countryside.
