Orthodontic Assistant (DA or RDA)

One of our wonderful assistants is relocating, and we’re excited to welcome a new Orthodontic Assistant to our team! We’re a modern, high-tech orthodontic practice in Carlsbad with an amazing staff and supportive leadership.
Schedule : 3 days per week, rotating Mon–Wed or Tue–Thu (8 AM–5 PM)
What You’ll Do
- Ensure all orthodontic instruments and equipment are properly sterilized before each use
- Take CBCT scans (no intraoral x-rays)
- Take digital photographs of patients’ teeth for treatment planning and progress tracking
- Use intraoral scanners and 3D printing for customized retainers and mouth guards (no traditional molds)
- Assist the doctor with placing braces
- Remove and replace wires, coil springs, donuts, and elastic bands
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and manage lab cases
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and braces aftercare
- Provide excellent chairside support and patient comfort
