Ahava Therapy Services is hiring the Director of Rehab for Maplewood Health Care and Rehabilitation in Jackson. Maplewood is a 156-bed Skilled Nursing Facility offering a dedicated team of therapists to its short- and long-term residents.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement therapy programs and services that meet the needs of patients and are consistent with the healthcare organization's mission and values
Provide leadership and guidance to therapy staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the therapy department, ensuring that services are delivered in a timely, efficient, and patient-centered manner.
Develop and manage budgets for the therapy department, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and in accordance with organizational priorities.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as insurance companies, referral sources, and community organizations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards for therapy services.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy programs and services and make recommendations for improvements.
Stay up to date with developments in therapy research, technology, and best practices, and incorporate them into therapy programs and services as appropriate.
Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy / Assistant, Occupational Therapy / Assistant, or Speech Program
Current license or eligible for support under statutes in the state of practice.
Must have BLS CPR certification upon hiring or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
