Our team in Military Aircraft is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer to join them. You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Lead and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.
As a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer, you'll be at the forefront of both new product development and continuous improvement of existing manufacturing processes. You'll work hands-on with high precision parts, applying advanced CNC programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance.
As a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer, you will :
- Create detailed operation sheets and CNC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies.
- Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability.
- Be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program prove-outs and troubleshooting.
- Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications.
- Assist in estimating costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development.
To be considered for this role, typically you'll bring :
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or an Associate degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience, or a High School Diploma / GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience.3+ CNC programming experience using CAD / CAM software.Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product.Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation.Excellent communication and documentation skills to work effectively across departments.It'd be great if you also had :
A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial EngineeringBackground in the aerospace industryExperience with machine automation integrationSkills in inspection of machined partsHands-on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminumProficiency in CNC Programming using Siemens NXKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plusHow we care for you :
