Description :

Looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Intensive Care.

This role involves working night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.

The estimated patient ratios are 1 : 1-2.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU experience.

Candidates must possess EPIC experience.

Required certifications include BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and AHA certifications.

The role requires proficiency in IV start, telemetry experience, and competency with ventilators.

Preferred qualifications include previous travel nursing experience and proficiency in the EPIC documentation system.

Specialized experience in multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, liver failure, and renal failure is also advantageous.

Special procedures include continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients.

Familiarity with equipment like NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE cardiac monitor, GE ventilator, and boom lift in each patient room is essential.

This position requires flexibility as staff may float to different units as needed.

The work environment involves interdisciplinary support from various teams.

Candidates must be cooperative with credentialing and comply with the necessary processes.
