Job Description

Prepares financial reports and analysis for shareholders, regulator, funding corporation and / or executive management assuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), regulatory requirements and financial reporting practices. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all financial reports and in alignment with expectations and established deadlines. Performs special projects that support the financial reporting requirements of the Controller Division, including system testing and implementation work, process improvements, automation and other enhancements.

Work Experience

5 years of combined financial reporting, corporate accounting, and / or public accounting experience, preferably in banking or the financial services industry required. Strong knowledge of GAAP. Experience with financial reporting tools, such as Hyperion and Oracle (e.g. FCCS, PeopleSoft and SmartView) preferred. Proven skills in financial reporting, financial statement analysis. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing commitments in accordance with established deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively and build relationships with associates and management at all levels across the bank. Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements while driving automation and efficiencies. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

About CoBank

The typical base pay range for this role is between $89,600 - $110,160. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. The listed salary, other compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting.
