Job Description :

Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care the professional nurse has the responsibility authority and accountability for planning coordinating and evaluating the patients care needs.

Focuses on patients receiving care in an outpatient setting playing a critical role in coordination and delegation of care. RN may delegate responsibilities to an LPN or MA based on scope of practice. Individuals in this role will work in an outpatient clinic setting.

Principle Responsibilities

Collects prioritizes and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patients health or situation.

Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.

Identifies expected outcomes individualized to the patient.

Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.

Implements the identified plan.

Evaluates the patients progress towards attainment of the outcome.

Systematically enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.

Attains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.

Evaluates ones own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and regulatory guidelines.

Contributes to the professional development of peers colleagues and others.

Collaborates with patient family and others in the conduct of nursing practice.

Acts in an ethical manner.

Integrates research findings in practice.

Incorporates factors related to safety effectiveness cost and impact on practice in planning and delivering patient care.

Provides leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.

Practices in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.

Demonstrates ability to coordinate and direct unit operation so the patient and family needs are met and resources are efficiently utilized in a safe manner.

Demonstrates ability to identify the orientees learning needs and plans appropriate learning experiences.

Pay Range

Pay Range : $39.19 to $53.72 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to your experience education and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift weekend and / or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
